Aatif Khan has over 14+ years of experience in information security and has spent most of his time assessing security risks in secure environments. He specializes in building and scaling security programmes from startups to Fortune 500 organizations. At the beginning of his career, he has worked extensively on penetration testing, risk assessments, malware analysis, cyber security audits, developing cyber defence strategies, building cybersecurity roadmaps, and security operations centers for large enterprises.

He has also delivered infosec training to corporate, defense personnel, and cyber-crime police officials. He has authored and published various white papers covering different areas of information security.
He has spoken at numerous information security conferences such as SANS & UK NCSC CyberThreat London, Security BSides London, OWASP Amsterdam, Cyber Security Asia Malaysia, etc., and many other conferences across the EMEA region. He has been interviewed by the Associated Press, Voice of America, Hakin9, and numerous other media channels for his expertise on emerging cybersecurity threats.

His passion and focus have been on building security teams that are able to adapt to the dynamic changes within security, whilst delivering on Governance, Risk, and Compliance outcome.
He is a keen supporter of a mentoring programme within the security profession, including the development of security professionals. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and working on AI-driven advanced threat detection and response with modern security analytics.
