Justinian Fortenberry is the Global Chief Information Security Officer for Zip Co. Ltd, a global leader in digital retail finance and payments. In this role Justinian is responsible for security strategy, engineering, operations, incident response, and everything else that goes into securing a world where people can live fearlessly today, knowing they’re in control of tomorrow. 


Prior to this role Justinian held senior leadership positions over security and technology at several companies including JustEat Takeaway (including Grubhub.com and Seamless.com), Bankrate.com, Netquote.com and Replidyne Pharmaceuticals.  With an extensive background in technology and security, his security strategy focuses on secure enablement, creating a risk aware culture, and merging privacy with the new realities of high growth consumer facing businesses.
Outside of his role, Justinian spends his time mentoring and maturing security teams, participating in the advisory board of several firms, and encouraging security collaboration by being an advisor to EC-Council and being a founding member of Chibrrcon Chicago.  

Justinian holds a B.S in Computer Engineering from the University of Denver as well as Certified Information Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Chief Information Security Office (CCISO), Certified Information Privacy Technologies (CIPT) and Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) certifications.
